Since the terrain can be hard and the days long, hikers on these treks should be in good physical condition and have some previous mountain walking experience. Steep climbing may be involved, although it is never necessary to use ropes. Treks at this level can he arranged for periods of 16 to 21 days. Typically, a gradual ascent through a green river valley will lead you up to a number of high passes, where you will reach the altitude of 5416m. Often times, you will get a close insight into the Tibetan culture. Participants should expect to trek above 5416m/17872ft.

Annapurna Base Camp Short Trek is a high glacier base lying 40 km directly north of Pokhara. The south-facing slopes are covered in dense tropical jungles of rhododendron and bamboo, while the north-facing slopes, in the rain shadow, have “a drier colder climate similar to that of the nearby Tibetan Plateau.

They believed it was the depository of gold and various treasures left by the Nags, the serpent-gods The sanctuary was believed to be the home of several divinities, from Hinduism and Buddhism as well as older animistic gods The peak of Machhapuchare at the entrance was believed to be the home of the god Shiva, and the daily column of snow were thought the smoke of his divine incense Until recently, the local Gurung people forbade anyone from bringing eggs or meat into the Annapurna Sanctuary, and women and untouchables were prohibited from going there as well.

Detail Itinerary

  • Day 01: Arrive international airport in Kathmandu, transport to selected hotel at Thamel, The hotel is centrally located in the Thamel area of Kathmandu which is renowned for its many restaurants, shops, bars, and nightclubs etc which cater for the tourists
  • Day 02: Early morning fly to Pokhara and Drive to Nayapul (42 km. 1 hour by taxi) Trek to Jhinu Danda (5 hours walking) stay overnight at lodge
  • Day 03: Trek to Dovan (5 hours walking) 2505 Meters.Stay overnight at lodge
  • Day 04: Trek to MBC (3700 Meters. 4/5 hours walking) Stay overnight at lodge
  • Day 05: Visit ABC (4130 Meters. 2/3 hours walking) trek back to Deurali to stay overnight at lodge
  • Day 06: Trek back to chhomrong (7 hours walking) stay overnight at lodge
  • Day 07: Trek back to Naya Pul (7/8 hours walking) and drive to Pokhara stay overnight at selected hotel in Pokhara
  • Day 08: Flight Back to Kathmandu and departure your home country at same day
