Altitude sickness for Ghorepani Poon Hill Trek
The Ghorepani Poon hill lies at lower altitude 3210 meters only, there is no risk of Altitude Sickness. The highest elevation difference that you will face is while walking from Tirkhe Dhunga to Ghorepani. It is because, at Tirkhe Dhunga, you will be at a height of 1577 meters height which means you will overcome nearly 1200 meters on this day. For those who are wondering about the Acute Mountain Sickness and who are thinking about the trekking advice which says you can only make 500m of the climb on a day, work only for those who venture on the land that is more than 5000m altitude. There is absolutely no Altitude Mountain Sickness risk in Poon Hill. An altitude up to 3500m is considered safe for a normal person.

Day 01: Arrive international airport in Kathmandu, our airport representative will show your name in the paperboard in the exit door of the arrival gate, meet him and transport to selected hotel bit out of Thamel 3*** category on BB basis
Day 02: Kathmandu Valley world heritage site full day sightseeing with a professional tour guide, at evening 4 PM trip briefing and introduce your guide and porter
Day 03: Early morning drive to Pokhara (915 meters. 200 km. by tourist bus (6/7 hours driving and stay overnight at selected hotel nearby lakeside.
Day 04: After breakfast drive to Nayapul by public bus (2 hours) and trek to Tirkhe Dhunga (4 hours, 1577 meter) stay overnight at lodge.
Day 05: Trek to Ghorepani (6/7 hours, 2853 meter) stay Overnight at lodge.
Day 06: Early morning visit to Poon Hill (3210 meters. 45 minutes to get at the top for the sunrise view) and 32 Himalayan peaks, and trek to Tadapani (5 hours 2630 meters.) stay overnight at lodge.
Day 07: Trek to Ghandruk (3 hours 1935 meter) stay overnight at the lodge,
Day 08: Trek to Nayapul (4 hours walking) and then drive back to Pokhara by local bus (2-hour driving) or by taxi, stay overnight at selected hotel nearby Lakeside.
Day 09: Drive back to Kathmandu by tourist bus (200 km. 6/7 hours driving) stay overnight at selected hotel in Kathmandu.
