Please let me thank you for the recent and incredible trekking experience we had in Nepal. For my sons and I, it was the trip of a lifetime, and I can say that a large part of the success and xcitement of the visit to Everest was they way you guided the trek.
You should be commended for the way in which you took care of all our needs and concerns, the way you helped us achieve all the things we wanted to do, and of course the knowledge, skill and enthusiasm displayed throughout the adventure. We had some very tough days and I realize that without the positive approach and encouragement, we might not have made it to all the places we did – so thank you.
I can honestly say that as a guide you exceeded all our expectations for care and responsibility and this is a great credit to you.
I wish you all the best of luck for the future.

I had a wonderful experience trekking with Himal Ghale in the langtang region in Sept. 2007. Himal was very professional, and was familiar with the trails, geography, and cultural traditions of the people and regions we visited. His friendly personality and positive outlook made the trek very enjoyable. He had a good rapport with the tea-house owners, which allows us to spend more time talking with these families, and made my experience very culturally interesting. Himal spoke great English and could translate easily, on our last day in the langtang valley; Himal woke me up at dawn to go hiking under crystal clear skies- As this was a monsoon Hike, This clear morning was very special. I felt that, Himal always went the extra mile - I was able to see the sun coming up over the Himalayan peaks ringing the langtang valley - A spectacular view and wonderful experience trekking in Nepal with Himal!

I found him to be excellent professionally as well as a great person to be with on an adventure holiday. Himal is 100% reliable very knowledgeable and skillful as a guide, a very good communicator and an intuitive listener. I have witnessed him making decisions under pressure (my wife got Altitude Sickness on one of our treks in the Everest Region) and found him to be a good and quick thinker and a very good decision maker. He will trying everything to accommodate your needs and wants during the trek, but will be quite assertive and firm if there is a situation where safety is an issue.
He seems to have a pool of very good porters that he works with, and treats them well. Himal is 31 years old, is married and has one son aged 6 years, his wife Name is Sumi Gurung she always cook delicious Dal Bhat Nepali dinner, she always invite us welcome dinner before trekking & good bye Dinner after finish trekking, we Loved very much Nepali food spicily Sumi cooks, He is an excellent guy, and I have no hesitation to recommend him.

I've already trekked twice with Himal. My first trek with Himal was Ghorepani in 1997, and second trek was Everest Base Camp this year. I'm very much impressed by his skill of guiding. He has been trained by Ministry of Tourism Nepal, and has got Trekking Guide licensed. Thus, he is
well- educated, well- trained Trekking Guide, and good Japanese speaking And English speaking guide, and knows so many things about aspects of his country Nepal, and that helps you to make your trek much more interesting.
During my trekking period and staying in Nepal, he took very good care of me, and I am fully satisfied by his excellent services. I'm greatly looking forward to returning to Nepal next year for the Annapurna trek with Himal Once again I would like to highly recommend Himal to the peoples who are planning to trek in Nepal.

Hello from Italy
I have been in Nepal with my friends for 3 times in 1998, 2001 & 2005. We did a trek to Annapurna Region two times & Gokyo in Everest region with guide Himal. During our trekking period and time in Nepal he did everything what we needed for traveling in Nepal. He is very honest, helpful, reliable, friendly, well-educated and a well trained guide. He has been trained by the Ministry of Tourism of Nepal, and became a trekking guide license in 1997. He has been attended the classes about high altitude sickness, first aid training. Himal has got great knowledge in history of Nepal, culture, life style, altitude sickness and makes the right decisions in case of emergency, bad weather or sickness. As we experienced in 1996 at the Annapurna trek where Himal successfully succeeded to arrange a helicopter in very difficult circumstances to rescue a very sick friend.
For this we are still very grateful.
Of course he did help us with plane tickets, permits and for all other necessary things. He speaks fluent English as well as Japanese. I found Himal a real professional trekking guide. I have already recommended Himal too many people in Italy and also too many of my friends and they all enjoyed him a lot and liked his professional work.
My wife and I are planning to do the Ghanesh Himal Trekking in the end of 2006 of course with Himal.

Himal Ghale is the best guide in Nepal! My wife Reiko and I first traveled with him in 2002 around Annapurna Circuit and to Annapurna Base Camp. It was our first time in Nepal and we had no idea what to expect. Well, our experience was fantastic and it was the result of having Himal as our guide! Himal speak very well Japanese and English His expertise's made us feel safe at all times and earning personality greatly enhanced each day of our adventure. He was able to tell us what to expect on the route, find us the best places to stay and fill in all the background information about our surroundings. Add to that his great sense of humor, musical talent and ability to adapt to whatever need arises and you have a superlative traveling companion as well as guide. Our whole experience was so wonderful that I had to return the following year to do a trek in Everest region.
This time a 6 of my friend came with me and again Himal did an incredible job of guiding. Our next trek is to go to Mustang and of course the guide must be Himal This barely touches the depth of our experiences with Himal so please feel free to contact Mr. Himal above addresses E-mail: himal_gurung@hotmail.com

Come across no further¡¦ you have found a great guide for your trek! My wife and I trekked to Annapurna Base Camp with Himal Ghale in November 2006, We had previously made an extensive search of trekking sites and without hesitation found Himal Ghale to be the most responsive and informative contact. The frequent emails between us earlier to our trek not only helped us build a understanding with Himal before we got there but also enabled us to explain exactly what we required to do and when. Once there all we had to do was enjoy the familiarity as Himal had organized the whole thing.
Himal speaks excellent English, is full of knowledge about Nepal and the peoples we met. The personal service given to us far exceeded our expectations. He'll bring hot drinks to your room first thing in the morning, hot water to wash in, sort out accommodation on route, ensure you meals are prepared when you want them, will walk at your pace, will filter your water, He is National folk singer as well, on the trek every hotels people knew him, and has some funny card tricks. We wouldn't hesitate to use him again!
If you get the chance please use the porter Chin who accompanied us on our trip. Chin was exceptional, always and I mean always smiling despite the incredibly hard work he was doing. Himal and Chin made a first class team.
and after back from trek, his wife make great Dal bhat Nepali food for good bye Dinner, this is Himal Email Address himal_gurung@hotmail.com Please feel free to contact him, Or if you want to know more about Himal contact us John and Eliza haleliza@coul.com.au
