The trek to EBC was great 

As we had never hiked for more than 3 days (or experienced sub-zero temperatures before), we decided to do EBC in winter with Nepal Wilderness Trekking. When we arrived in Kathmandu, Himal, the owner of the company, met us and helped us get the gear we needed. Our porter/guide Makaraj Tamang made our trip to EBC and back an unforgettable experience. His friendliness and helpfulness extended not only to us but also to the other trekkers staying at the lodges we stayed at. Everything proceeded smoothly and the trek was well organized and flexible to our needs.
