Amphu Lapcha Pass is a high mountain pass located in the Khumbu region of eastern Nepal, near Mount Everest. The pass sits at an elevation of 5,845 meters (19,177 feet) and connects the Hinku Valley to the Imja Valley. It is a technical and challenging pass that requires mountaineering skills and equipment to cross.

The Amphu Lapcha Pass is typically crossed by experienced mountaineers who are attempting to climb one of the many peaks in the area, such as Island Peak or Mera Peak. The pass involves steep ascents and descents and requires crossing a glacier and traversing a steep rock face using fixed ropes. It is a remote and demanding route that requires careful planning, proper equipment, and experienced guides.

We learn that many trekkers and climbers want to do tea house till Khare and want to continue to Amphu Lapcha pass after Mera Peak summit in our 10-year experience, most of the place has tea house accommodations in Mera Peak and Everest region so can trek with a Porter Cum Guide-with porters or without porters to Khare. But Between Mera Peak And Island Peak called Hinku Valley, Amphu Lapcha Base Camp has no tea house so have to camp by hiring porters and climbing guides.

Of course, the Mera Peaks Amphu Lapcha Pass trip will be a little bit expensive because of the wilderness area. However, there are no options, either you have to arrange from Kathmandu or accept a mini Package entirely from us.  Our staff are in two sections, from Khare summit the Mera and lead you Amphu Lapcha pass first sections. Then other sections of staff are in Island Peak Base Camp; they will lead you to summit Island Peak and bring you to Chhukung. But if you just want to have Mera peak climbing and Amphu Lapcha pass then our staff will drop you at Chhukung and they will back to Khare after the Chhukung trek will be your own.

Mera Amphu Lapcha Pass is reached via the wilder upper Hongu Valley. Technically, Amphu Lapcha should be passed over to Chhukung Valley. It is necessary to use technical climbing equipment to cross the pass, so trekkers must be skilled in their use and be prepared. Mera Amphu Lapcha Pass offers views of the Himalayas and the hearty scenery of Hongu Lake and Panch Pokhari Lake. The second part of our Team

The second part of our Team is in Chhukung, so after the pass, you will be in the Chhukung small town, do a day rest, and meet our staff to start your Island Peak Climbing Package. Our team will lead you to Island Peak Base Camp, and the Next morning Summit Island Peak 6,189 Meters, and back to Chhukung end your Trip from us.

Two peaks are Climbing Mera Peak and Island Peak via Amphu Lapcha Pass Trek from Khare and ending package in Chhukung, after Island Peak Climbing.
