Permits costs

To access the Nar Phu Valley, you will need Nar Phu Valley Restricted Area (NRA) Permits, priced at U$D100 per week per person. These permits are specifically required due to the restricted nature of the area.
In addition to the NRA permits, you will also need Annapurna Conservation Area Project (ACAP) permits, which cost U$D30 per person. These permits contribute to the conservation efforts in the Annapurna region, ensuring the preservation of its natural resources.
You must also obtain Trekking Information Management System (TIMS) Permits for the trek, which are priced at USD 20 per person.

Day 01: Drive from Kathmandu to Dharapani via Besisahar. Your journey begins with a scenic overland drive from Kathmandu to Dharapani, traveling through Besisahar and following the Marsyangdi River deep into the Annapurna region. The drive offers a gradual transition from bustling towns to remote mountain landscapes, terraced hillsides, waterfalls, and traditional villages.

Day 02: Trek from Dharapani to Koto. Today’s trek follows a well-defined trail along the Marsyangdi Valley. Passing pine forests, suspension bridges, and small settlements, you gradually leave the main Annapurna Circuit route. Koto marks the official entrance to the Nar Phu Restricted Area, where special permits are required.

Day 03: Trek from Koto to Meta. The trail narrows as you follow the Nar Khola upstream into a dramatic gorge surrounded by steep cliffs. Day 05: Trek from Kyang to Phu Village. A culturally rich day as you trek along ancient Tibetan trade routes adorned with mani walls and prayer flags. Stone houses, monasteries, and a strong Tibetan Buddhist culture define this remarkable settlement.

Day 06: Trek from Phu Village to Nar Phedi. After exploring Phu Village in the morning, the trail descends back through rugged terrain toward Nar Valley. Day 08: Trek from Nar Village to Ngawal via Kang La Pass (5,322 m). This is the most challenging and rewarding day of the trek. Starting early, you ascend toward Kang La Pass, where panoramic views of Annapurna II, Gangapurna, Tilicho Peak, and the Chulu range await. After crossing the pass, descend steeply into the Manang Valley and continue to Ngawal.

Day 09: Trek from Ngawal to Humde, then Drive to Besisahar. A gentle downhill walk leads you to Humde, passing traditional villages and enjoying views of the Manang Valley. From Humde, take a shared jeep back to Besisahar, marking the end of the trekking portion of the journey.
