Gangchempo Peak Climbing

Gangchempo Expedition peak climbing is in the Langtang region which is 6378 meters Himalayan, There is a spectacular view of the Langtang Lirung, Langtang Ri, Yala peak, and Naya kanga Himalaya from Gangchempo peak. Tucked away up the Kynajin valley this beautiful mountain is dwarfed sharp ridge on the climbing part by the stupendous difficulty. The views from the top of this mountain are truly magnificent, and the climb up the ridge to the top is all the more memorable for its spectacular airy ridge. Langtang region’s Gangchempo Peak (6387 m) is considered Nepal’s best climbing peak destination. Langtang Valley is the closest Himalayan region to Kathmandu and is considered to be one of the most beautiful areas in Nepal. Though it is fewer tourist visits regions in Nepal compared with the Everest trek and Annapurna regions. 

Langtang region is you will find as much wildness as you would find in remote mountain country, The lifestyle and culture of the Tibetans are also similar to the Langtang area Tamang peoples, there is the trek which is called “Tamang heritage trails trek”. Langtang area is covered with rhododendrons, bamboo forests, waterfalls, and snowy mountains. The Langtang valley connects the remote Langtang valley with the high mountain lakes at Gosaikunda and the delightful Helambu valley. The trek through beautiful Langtang villages and viewing the ice flares of Gangchempo reflect the true excellence of the Nepalese mountains.

Gangchempo Expedition peak climbing is not an easy mountain to climb, it requires seven quails for climbing Korean ropes and must be fixed for three or four days by climbing sherpa before groups. There is only a limited number of Sherpas who summited Gangchempo peak because it is technically challenging and fewer climbers wanted to tackle it. Langtang area has several climbing peaks, but the Gangchempo and Paldor peak is more challenging peaks.

The Gangchempo Expeditions peak climbing begins with a drive from Kathmandu to Syabru Besi, which is 132 kilometers (6-7 hours) by bus or shared jeep. In order to reach Syabrubesi, we will travel along a panoramic new rough road through Middle Hills, Tirsuli, Kalikasthan, Ramche, and Dhunche, followed by a walk from Syabrubesi to Langtang village, Kyanjin Gompa, Tserko Ri, and the Gangchempo Expeditions peak climbing time requires 6  /7 days from the Gangchempo base camp to kiss the summit. after the summit, return to Syabrubesi via Langtang valley viewpoint trails.

Gangchempo climbing expedition durations have required a minimum of 20 days from Kathmandu to summit the Gangchempo peak and back to Kathmandu, this peak requires full expeditions arrangement with experience teams and a climbing sherpa. very less climbers summited this peak because of technical climbing peaks.

  • Day 01: Drive to Syabru Besi 6 /7 hours (2130 meters) overnight at tea house  
  • Day 02: Trek to the Lama hotel 6 hours hike (2748 m) overnight at tea house 
  • Day 03: Trek to Langtang Village (3500 meters) 5 -6 hours hike overnight at tea house 
  • Day 04: Trek to Kyangjin Gompa (3800 meters) 4 hours hike overnight at tea house 
  • Day 05: Rest day in Kyagjin Gompa, explore the day 
  • Day 06: Gangchenpo Base Camp overnight at tent 
  • Day 07:  Rest day
  • Day 08: Rest day
  • Days 09-15: Climbing Period
  • Day 16: Rest day at BC
  • Day 17: Hike back to Kyangjin Gompa (3800m) overnight at tea house 
  • Day 18: Trek back to Lama hotel (2748 m) overnight at tea house 
  • Day 19: Trek back to Syabru Besi (2130 m) overnight at the tea house 
  • Day 20 Drive back to Kathmandu and finish the trip.
