My name is Hari Gurung, and I am from Sindhupalchok District, Helambu rural municipality ward no 5 Golphu Bhanjyang village. Since 1996 I have been working as a mountain trekking guide in the Nepalese Himalayas mountains, first as a porter, and then as a guide. In the past few years, I have been involved with several trekking agencies, but since 2011 I have been working for Nepal Wilderness Trekking Agency. I am an experienced trekking and tour guide who is a certified government-trained license holder; I specialize in trekking and tours to Nepal’s most popular destinations. Being from a remote village myself, I have a great deal of experience in the Himalayas. I can communicate fluently in English. While our mountains are very beautiful, I may gain great pleasure from being able to guide trekkers as they enjoy the beautiful scenery, as well as hearing bits and pieces about our cultures, religions, norms, caste history, and environmental issues.
