These treks are suitable for any walker looking for something a little more challenging and energetic. They are a combination of some longer and shorter walks and hill-walking experience is desirable. The duration is usually from 10 to 15 days. Following the up and down terrain of Nepal and walking to higher elevations contrasts these treks to those in the easy classification. However, you will be rewarded for your efforts with spectacular close-up views of glaciers and of the high Himalayas. Although the terrain is not difficult, some vigorous hiking experience is useful. There may be up to 6 hours a day on the trail and the elevation rises and falls from 800m/ 2624ft to 4000m/13210ft above sea level.

Pokhara Royal Trek is the shortest trek that was loved by Prince Charles in 1981 before he married Ms.Princess Diana. This five-day short Trek became a “Royal trek” just after the royal family trekked. The trek is a quick and sweet easy hike up and downhill with tremendous Himalayas Views of Manaslu 8,156 m, Lamjung Himal 6 983 m, Dhaulagiri 8,167 m, and all Annapurna ranges.

The Five days short Royal Trek is less altitude and easy trek, and a significant cultural experience can be completed within the mentioned days in the beautiful village to villages, an easy hike and recommended for any age trekkers who can do it without feeling the high altitude.
The stunning Himalaya views; are the best viewpoints during the trek, PATLE Danda and Syaglung. The current Royal Trekking was called “Syaglung Trek too” before the royal family made it.

The Royal Trek concludes at Pachabhaiya Danda, nestled between Begnas Lake and Rupa Lake. From there, you can opt for a scenic drive back to either Pokhara or Kathmandu, departing from Pachabhaiya Danda.

Accommodation options on the Royal Trek are limited, but there are a few tea houses and homestays available along the way. These are basic lodges that offer simple but comfortable accommodations and meals. Easy and short tea house trek, the accommodations are not as good as Annapurna base camp and Everest region.

Detail Itinerary

  • Day 01: Drive to Bijaypur from Kathmandu (KTM) or Pokhara (PKR). Begin the trek to Kalikastan (1,370m). Overnight stay at a comfortable lodge.
  • Day 02: Trek from Kalikastan to Patle Danda (1,750m). Approximate hiking duration: 4 to 5 hours. Enjoy the stunning vistas along the way. Rest and overnight stay at a lodge.
  • Day 03: Continue the trek to Syaglung (1,730m). Expect a hiking time of approximately 5 hours. Immerse yourself in the beauty of Syaglung village, home to the Gurung, Brahmin, and Niwar communities. Overnight stay at a lodge.
  • Day 04: Trek to Chisapani (1,550m), known for its panoramic mountain views. The trek duration is approximately 4 to 5 hours. Explore the surroundings and settle in for a comfortable overnight stay at a lodge.
  • Day 05: Begin the return journey by trekking back to Begnas Lake. Take in the serene ambiance and bid farewell to the majestic mountains. From there, drive back to either Kathmandu or Pokhara, concluding this remarkable adventure.
