Since the terrain can be hard and the days long, hikers on these treks should be in good physical condition and have some previous mountain walking experience. Steep climbing may be involved, although it is never necessary to use ropes. Treks at this level can he arranged for periods of 16 to 21 days. Typically, a gradual ascent through a green river valley will lead you up to a number of high passes, where you will reach the altitude of 5416m. Often times, you will get a close insight into the Tibetan culture. Participants should expect to trek above 5416m/17872ft.

Equipment for Annapurna Circuit Trekking

Recheck your Equipment after planning to Annapurna Circuit Trek, Make sure you have enough gear to be warm and comfortable but without overloading. Usually, you will experience warm days and cold nights depending on altitude and the time of year, For footwear, best walking boots with suitable ankle support that have been worn-in prior to the trek, and which are waterproof, warm socks, Gaiters for the winter season, loose casual trousers, Thermal Leggings, a Long skirt for women, trousers, and Waterproof trousers. For body Selection of T-shirts, and long sleeved shirts, preferably not cotton, Thermal shirt, warm shirt, possibly Fleece, Fleece jacket or warm wool jumper. Windproof, waterproof outer higher altitudes, Down jacket Down Sleeping Bag (optional for cold nights & mornings; can be hired in Kathmandu cheaply) and for head and hand, Wool or fleece hat, or balaclava. Hat or cap for sun protection while trekking, Sunglasses or goggles, Warm gloves, sun cream.

Detail Itinerary

  • Day 01: Arrive international airport in Kathmandu and transport to selected hotel at Thamel, The hotel is centrally located in the Thamel area of Kathmandu which is renowned for its many restaurants, shops, bars, and nightclubs etc which cater for the tourists.
  • Day 02: Kathmandu Valley world heritage site full day sightseeing with professional tour guide.
  • Day 03: Drive to Besisahar (823 meters. 6 hours driving) by public bus and jeep to Chamje (1425 meter. 6 hours walking) stay overnight at lodge.
  • Day 04: Trek to Dharapani(1943 meter. 6 hours walking) stay overnight at lodge.
  • Day 05: Trek to Chame (2715 meter. 6 hours walking) stay overnight at lodge.
  • Day 06: Trek to Pisang (3132 meters. 6 hours walking) stay overnight at lodge.
  • Day 07: Trek to Manang (3341 meters. 5 hours walking) stay overnight at lodge.
  • Day 08: Rest day in the same place for acclimatisation.
  • Day 09: Trek to Chauri latter (3720 meters. 3/4 hours walking) stay overnight at lodge.
  • Day 10: Trek to Thorong Phedi(3900 meters. 3 hours walking) stay overnight at lodge.
  • Day 11: Trek early in the morning Thorong Pass (5416 meters. 8 hours walking) over night at Muktinath(3900 meters. ) stay overnight at lodge.
  • Day 12: Trek to Kag Beni 3 / 4 hours walking then over night at lodge,
  • Day 13: Trek down to Tukuche (2591 meters. 6 hours walking) then stay overnight at lodge.
  • Day 14: Trek down to Ghasa (2013 meters. 6 hours walking) over night at the lodge.
  • Day 15: Trek down to Tatopani (1169 meters. 6 hours walking) stay overnight at lodge.
  • Day 16: Rest day to enjoy in Hot Spring.
  • Day 17: Trek to Ghorepani (2832 meters. 7 / 8 hours walking) stay overnight at lodge.
  • Day 18: Visit Poon Hill (3210 meters. 45 minutes to get at the top) early in the morning for the sunrise view) and trek to Ghandruk (1951 meters.8 hours walking) and stay overnight at lodge.
  • Day 19: Trek back to Nayapul (1120 meters. 4 hours walking) Drive by local bus to Pokhara and stay overnight at lodge.
  • Day 20: Drive back to Kathmandu by tourist bus at 7:30 AM (200 km. 6/7 hours driving) and stay overnight at selected hotel in Kathmandu,
  • Day 21: Departure to International Airport to fly your home country. We will provide you transport to international Tribhuvan airports.
