Tilicho Pass

Tilicho Pass – Mesokantola pass trekking is challenging trekking passes of Annapurna Region, Tilicho Lake is the highest and beautiful lake in the world, at 5200 meters height ice lake. Tilicho Lake lies on the north side of the Annapurna range, just below Tilicho Peak (7134 meters). Tilicho pass is an exciting and beautiful route and very technical, particularly the downhill section from the Meso Kanto La, and we do not recommend it for beginners trekkers, but the views of peaks at over 8000 meters and a variety of landscapes, plants and wild animals, it is well worth the effort of Tilicho pass.

Trekking in Tilicho Pass through the village of Khangsar and reaching to Jomsom by passing the Mesokanto La with many beautiful pictures, diversity of landscape white mountains. After reaching in Manang, first you have to go for about 3 hours to the wonderful village of Khangsar, a village still in the old Tibetan style. Continuing you will reach a little yak herders hut. The yaks don’t like to stay below 3500 m and the summer pastures around Tilicho Lake are a fascinating lake. Shortly after the hut, the safe one climbs up for some hundred meters to the ridge, only to go down again 700 m to the lodge.

at December, Tilicho Lake will be the stormy and icy wind at -15°C, One has to climb up to 5400m to go north of a big wall.

To cross Tilicho Pass is a full-scale alpine expedition and we need a tent, stove and food for 3 days camping crew with staff. This trekking itinerary start from drive to Besi Sahar, Bahundanda, Jagat, Dharapani, Chame (670m, Pisang 3200m, Manang 3540m, Khangsar 3734m, Tilicho Base Camp 4140m, Nama Phu 3510m via Meso Kanto La 5099m, Jomsom 2713m and fly back to Pokhara.
