We booked for porters only, we had the service of a “porter-guide” + porters
We wanted equipped and insured porters for a 17 days trek. Therefore, we hired them through “Nepal Wilderness trekking” after a few e-mails exchange the week before arrival in Nepal. And we had much more than we paid for.
Himal Ghale helped us to get our bus ticket to leave KTM, and provide us with a team of friendly porters. But one of them was given a specific “porter-guide” role by Nepal Wilderness trekking: booking for the next lodges, getting information for the trail, help of some of us in some trail difficulties… We also had the free support of the trekking agency to book a hotel in KTM for us on the way back, as we were arriving in the late afternoon one day earlier than planned.
A friendly team for an excellent helpful value for money (It was in Nov 2014, Tamang Heritage trail, Langtang, Gosaikund, Helambu)…More »
